BAKERY TECHNOLOGIST / SOUTHALL / MATERNITY COVER FTC / UP TO £26,000 + BENEFITS
Our client has a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Bakery Technologist to join their world leading organisation.

They are now looking for a dynamic and driven Bakery Technologist to work within their creative Product Development team – assisting with producing concepts right through to launch.

This is a Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Cover). Start date 1st July 2019.

Key Responsibilities of the Bakery Technologist:

  • Deliver new and existing bread development – being able to take product concepts to launch
  • Develop and produce concept samples in the test bakery
  • Lead test bakery and factory trials with operations and site quality teams. Liaise with all site functions to progress projects
  • Work with marketing and consumer insight to develop ideas
  • Monitor current food and consumer trends
  • Present concepts internally and externally to customers as need arises
  • Manage sample requests out of the Southall site
  • Maintain NPD paperwork and systems

Skills & Experience Required:

  • 3+ years bakery industry experience, specifically bread
  • Experience of working in a bakery manufacturing environment
  • Technical understanding of the functionality of bakery ingredients
  • Ability to formulate recipes and develop breads
  • Operational & factory process experience
  • IT literate – ability to use and present from PowerPoint and Excel
  • Commercial awareness of the bakery market
  • Good interpersonal skills, dealing professionally with internal and external contacts
  • Excellent organisation skills
