Our client has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Service Manager to join their vibrant, dynamic team. You will receive full product training at their state of the art facility in Manchester, before taking up the post in Germany.

They are a market leading Automation and Drives repair company operating from service centres based in the UK and Europe - specialising in the diagnosis and repair of industrial power electronics.

Due to rapid growth, they are looking for a highly motivated Service Manager, based at their workshop in Germany. The role requires the candidate to provide technical support and manage workflow in order to develop the growth of the companys elevator drives business in Germany.

You will have a strong history of working either within the German elevator market or VSD market and can work on your own initiative with the full support of the their engineers in the UK. Full product training will be given in the UK.

Key Responsibilities of the Service Manager:

  • Manage the workflow between UK service centres and German partners
  • Consistently deliver high level customer support in Germany
  • Build relationships within the company
  • Develop business within the German market
  • Provide technical support to the German market
  • Attend customers site in Germany and neighbouring countries to evaluate and resolve the technical problems faced
  • Understand the product and provide accurate support
  • Meet strict deadlines
  • Work within a fast-paced environment

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Excellent German and English communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Other language skills are desirable but not essential
  • Proven experience of elevator maintenance industry
  • Proven experience of variable speed drive technology
  • Min 5 years’ technical customer facing support
  • Degree level qualification in an engineering discipline
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
  • Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail
