PEOPLE MANAGER – BOLTON (EGERTON) - PERMANENT POSITION WITH SOME HOME WORKING FLEXIBILITY – UP TO £45,000 (DOE) + ADDITIONAL BENEFITS

Our client is a highly regarded general insurance businesses, authorised and regulated by the FCA. This is an exciting opportunity to head up their People function, developing your own small team and implementing improvements across their businesses.

THE PEOPLE MANAGER ROLE:
By the end of next year they will be employing 200+ people, many of whom will increasingly be agile working in terms of how they do it, where they do it and when they do it. You will own the full spectrum of People/HR functions from recruitment to departure. This will involve (but not limited to) both (i) plenty of hands-on operational involvement, providing an advisory and consultancy service to managers and directors, and (ii) strategic involvement, developing employee wellbeing and development strategies that will help maintain a consistent employer brand.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Experience in working within a dynamic, growing business
  • Experience across generalist HR
  • Experience line-managing (preferable)

  • Considered - you think about the implications of various projects and are able to step back and prioritise before making decisions

  • Strategic – horizon scanning for important developments and proactively formulating courses of action in partnership with other parts of the business. To do so, you will have a good business understanding, be numerate and be able to speak the same business language
  • Ambitious - you are excited by the opportunity to play a key part in company growth, as well as constantly looking to develop yourself personally

ESSENTIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

  • CIPD qualified
  • Proven working experience as HR Manager or other HR Executive
  • People oriented and results driven
  • Demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases
  • Ability to design strategy along with leadership skills
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
  • In-depth knowledge of employment law and HR Best Practice

SALARY & INFORMATION:

  • Up to £45,000 dependent on experience
  • 25 days holiday initially, rising to 28 days with length of service, + Bank Holidays
