MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT / GREATER MANCHESTER OR UK WIDE / UP TO £45,000 DOE & BENEFITS
Established in 2008, our client is the leading independent renewables asset manager in the UK, France, Ireland and Sweden. They manage 5GW of wind and solar sites with a combined asset value of €4bn and generating €750m of electricity sales annually.

The Management Accountant Role:
They now have an exciting opportunity for a Management Accountant to join their renewables finance team based in the UK (offices in Bramhall, Stockport). Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance and mentoring a small team of finance staff, the Management Accountant will be instrumental in supporting the financial and commercial management of key portfolios for UK and Irish clients.

The role would ideally suit a commercially strong management accountant with several years’ experience of direct senior stakeholder reporting in an SME environment and advanced Excel skills. Experience in a client-service background would be looked on favourably but is not essential.

Key Responsibilities of the Management Accountant:
The Management Accountant is a varied role including commercial support and management reporting responsibilities, including:

  • Prepare and oversee monthly, quarterly and yearly management reporting
  • Key liaison to clients, external tax advisors, accountants and auditors
  • Manage budgets, cash flow forecasts and financial models
  • Mentor and assist other team members
  • Seek out and implement efficiencies and process improvements
  • Assistance on ad-hoc projects as required

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Part or fully-qualified CIMA, ACA or ACCA
  • Proven experience in producing detailed management accounts and financial reports for senior stakeholders / investors
  • Strong communication skills, including experience of presenting financial information to non-experts
  • Excellent Excel skills and willingness to advance
  • Experience with online accounting systems
  • A second language would be an advantage (Swedish, French, Spanish, German)
