Our client is an industry leader in detection technology, providing inspection systems and services for ports, borders and checkpoints. They help customers combat terrorism, drug smuggling and trade fraud.

They are looking for a dynamic Quality Manager to play a key role in the development and implementation of standards methods and procedures. You will lead a great team of people, ensuring quality organisational support to other functions within the business.

Key Responsibilities of the Quality Manager:

  • Manage Quality customer interface to proactively assure requirements are understood and satisfied
  • Ensure quality organisational support to Supply Chain Management
  • Develop, implement and improve appropriate Quality Management Systems throughout, providing quality leadership and support in the development and launch of new products and processes
  • Provide and lead business risk management activities in line with the Quality Management Systems
  • Collect and analyse organisational quality metrics and perform reviews to evaluate results
  • Develop and implement a quality structure capable of supporting strategic business plans and
  • Lead the designing and implementing of quality assurance training programs
  • Ensure functional participation in product development and launch activities
  • Lead improvement teams in the development and evaluation of process capability, process control plans, analysis of out-of-control conditions and process audits
  • Evaluate individual performances and create individual development plans
  • Operate in accordance with the requirements of ISO9001 audited quality system and implement the necessary process required by ISO91001
  • Lead the team and work with suppliers to minimise impact on the environment through reduction of waste, correct storage of items, supporting the use of recycled products

Skills & Experience Required:

  • 4-6 years’ experience working in a Senior Quality Assurance role, ideally in an engineering environment
  • People management experience
  • Proven leadership skills in medium size business and demonstrable improvements
  • ISO 9001, AS9100C/D ISO14000
  • Six Sigma Brown /Black belt preferred
  • Lean techniques/practitioner
  • Proven ability to drive change and culture
  • High Energy Change enabler
